We have a new family that are moving in this week into the old Green home on Fir Street. Their address is 1212 Fir Street. We are so excited to have them. Her name is Sondra Jones and her husband's name is Chad. They have 4 children. Payton 12, Blaze 10, Justice 7, and Rhodey 3. They are expecting a little baby girl in October!! It's so great to have good strong families move into our area. We love having them here!!
We also have a new couple that moved onto Bristlecone. Their address 357. David and Teresa Gibson. He is still working in Vegas during the week and she is here. They are going to be snowbirds, but in reverse. They will be here in the summer and in Vegas in the winter. She is a darling lady and would love to have visitors!! Welcome Gibson's!!
And we have a new couple, Coralynn and Jacob Taylor, that moved onto Pinecone. address is 1207. They are newly married and are going to be a great addition to the ward. Actually they are looking for a vehicle to buy. Dependable but definitely not new. They are just getting started and just need something old but reliable. If you have any ideas, please let one of us in the presidency know.
Welcome new people!!! We are so glad to have you all...

Happy Birthday to Alice...
Alice is 95 this week. We had a little party for her in Relief Society on Sunday. If you weren't there you missed out. All the brethren came in and we all sang Happy Birthday to her. She was so touched. She is an amazing lady that continues to endure and make the most out of life. She is a great example to us all!!
We even had cinnamon rolls for those that came. Sorry about everyone else. We didn't have enough to go around for everyone. But they were sure good!!!

We love you Alice!!
Great lesson on Sunday--The Scriptures---The most profitable of all study!!
Lisa gave a great lesson on the importance of reading, pondering, and studying the scriptures. Ponderizing is a made up word but it was a talk given in General Conference not this last conference but the October conference of last year. He challenged us to take a scripture a week and put it somewhere where you see it every day. Try to memorize it, think about it, read it and study it. It's a great challenge. You should try it.
We had a great discussion about different ways that each of us study the scriptures. And there were many. I think that's the key is to find what works for you and then go for it. Constant and steady. That's a secret to good scripture reading and understanding. It's amazing that the more we study the more we can comprehend and retain from what we read.
